Our vision is to bring the farm to your Home, Apartment block but especially to your industrial scale farms. Delivered direct to the consumer, fresh from the 'farm'.

Our systems are to be:

• 95% water efficient.

• 100% organic produce.

• automated, with 24 hour growth monitoring and control.

• An App controlled environment with settings to be adjusted according to the needs of the specific produce, in an easy to use intuitive design where crops are maintained, grown and harvested under algorithmic control using automated machinery.

• Predictable crops which can be allotted by request or produced based on the predictions of demand as projected by the overseeing governance system that will be able to maintain the long term growth the produce within system and make recommendations as to future crop options.

• Pesticide free as the system is 'closed loop' meaning that crop contamination and disruption is at an extreme minimum.

• Produce literally could not be fresher as it can be grown within walking distance of the consumer.

• Climate change is a non issue for our systems as they are securely self-contained.

• Solar powered systems, with main power grid supply as a redundancy, where applicable.

• Highly energy efficient due to modern advancements in modern vertical farming systems and able to increase in efficiency as vertical farming technology continues to develop and be refined, in step with VFTEC's growth.

At an extremely competitive cost efficiency, our product is intended to alleviate pressures on traditional agriculture and decrease food wastage in a big way. We have a view towards mass adoption by the farming community but also within the consumer markets, globally, as brand awareness grows and as a means to encourage its continuity of brand awareness. 

 

VFTEC is ambitiously planning a scaled approach to capturing the greater Agri-tech industry by creating a platform for open-sourced vertical farming technology but working with the community as a whole to scale it to success. 

This system will be anchored by a blockchain-based, decentralised, system of governance built upon fundamental economics and distribution analytics. Through this we aim to scale secure food production for a wide range of crops suited to the hardware design of the system which will be modular and scalable.

In combination with the fact that the world population has just reached 8 Billion, furthering global food security is more pressing than ever.
