Welcoming Enrico Halim to VFTEC

We are pleased to welcome Enrico Halim to VFTEC as a Supply Chain & Optimisation Associate.

Enrico is collaborating with us on critical operational and logistical research, dedicating his expertise to key optimization initiatives. His initial focus areas include:

• BOM Cost Optimization: Streamlining component sourcing for our modular rotary grow pods and IoT sensor nodes.
• Substrate Logistics Studies: Evaluating efficiency pathways for nutrient delivery and crop yield scaling.

This collaboration marks a great step forward as we continue refining our automated vertical farming architecture. Stay tuned for more engineering and software milestones as we progress through our current development roadmap!

Grow Pod Architecture & Automation Pipelines

• Modular Grow Pod Architecture: Refined structural layouts for the cylindrical hexagonal rotary grow pods to maximize internal spatial efficiency, crop density, and uniform light distribution.
• Automation & Sensor Pipelines: Advanced Raspberry Pi controller integration blueprints, establishing robust MQTT communication channels for real-time environmental monitoring and telemetry.
• Crop Cultivation Parameters: Mapped out targeted growth metrics, resource requirements, and spatial optimization strategies tailored specifically for high-efficiency urban crops like Genovese basil and dwarf wheat.
• Prototyping & CAD Modeling: Continued iteration on precision component prototyping using 3D modeling scripts and CAD tools to ensure seamless mechanical assembly for upcoming physical builds.

Frame Fabrication & Modular Assembly

Bill of Materials (BOM) is finalized for the prototype grow module. Component specifications and procurement lists are locked as we prepare for physical assembly of the primary hardware array.

Telemetry & Governance Benchmarks

Initiated agent-assisted workflow integration to validate low-latency MQTT messaging across edge nodes. Concurrent architecture modeling is underway for Testnet deployment of resource allocation contracts and governance systems.
